Choose your route before your hotels
Cairo and Giza, Luxor, and Aswan are distinct stops along the Nile. For a shorter visit, consider Cairo plus one southern base rather than trying to see every major site. For a longer journey, compare a point-to-point route with a cruise itinerary. This is a suggested planning approach, not a fixed departure or a promise that all transfers fit in one day.
Compare a cruise with a land-based trip
Ask a cruise provider for the actual embarkation and disembarkation points, nights aboard, excursion list and transport arrangements. For a land-based trip, price the intercity transport and hotels separately. Compare the full journey, not just the headline cruise or tour price; check whether entry tickets, guiding, meals and transfers are included.
Build breathing room into sightseeing
Choose a main experience for each day and leave room for meals, rest and transfers. Discuss walking distances, steps, shade and mobility needs with the operator before committing. Avoid putting an essential excursion immediately before an international departure. Check current operating times directly rather than relying on an old itinerary.
Get a comparable operator quote
Send the same dates, party size, preferred language and pickup location to the operators you are considering. Request the total price, group size, named service provider, ticket exclusions and cancellation terms in writing. A fioGuide request is not a confirmed booking until the operator responds and you accept the offer.
Before you book
Confirm current entry requirements for your nationality and check official travel advice. Schedules, access, prices and availability can change; ask the relevant provider before committing.
